Understanding product types

Last update: Wednesday, Mar 09, 2022

There are three product types that you can choose from when setting up a product:

Storable: A storable product is a product for which you need the stock to be managed

Consumable: A consumable product is a product for which you do not need the stock to be managed.

Service: A non-material product for which stock management is not possible.

Changing the product type from storable to consumable or service is not permitted if stock movements have taken place.
